Schoolobe Privacy Agreement and Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 March 2025 • Version: v2032025
1. Parties and scope
This text governs the principles of privacy and information security between GLOBAL INC. (“Schoolobe”), which provides services under the Schoolobe brand, and persons who become members of the platform, purchase education or benefit from education. Schoolobe’s address is Shelton Street Covent Garden United Kingdom, its contact e-mail is support@schoolobe.com and its website is schoolobe.com.
The purchase and membership transactions of a minor student are carried out by the parent or legal representative to the extent legally required. The parent informs the student, in a manner appropriate to their age, about privacy and lesson rules. A person acting in the capacity of a parent is obliged to provide accurate information on their authority of representation.
This agreement applies together with the Distance Sales Agreement and the Delivery and Return Policy. Personal data processing activities are explained separately in the KVKK Privacy Notice. Acceptance of this text is not considered explicit consent given for the processing of personal data for every purpose or for its transfer abroad.
2. Confidential information and educational content
Non-public lesson materials, question and assessment content, trade secrets relating to teaching methods, account and access information, lesson links, student and teacher information, private correspondence, lesson recordings and business information of Schoolobe that is clearly understood to be confidential are protected under this agreement.
Information lawfully made public, information lawfully obtained by the person outside this relationship, and a person’s honest assessments of their own experience are not treated as confidential information merely because they concern Schoolobe. Statutory rights to apply, complain, defend and submit evidence are not limited by this agreement.
3. The user’s confidentiality obligations
Users, students and parents may not give the accounts, passwords, license keys and lesson links allocated to them to third parties; may not use another person’s account and may not gain unauthorized access to the system. Accounts are allocated to the student personally. The right of use cannot be transferred, leased, sold or opened to shared use by another student, a sibling or a third party.
Lessons may not be recorded, and screenshots or audio recordings may not be taken, without the necessary permissions of the teacher, Schoolobe and the other persons who will appear in the recording; lesson content may not be published on social media, messaging groups or other media. Cases in which legislation permits obtaining evidence and applying to the competent authorities are reserved.
Educational materials may be used only for personal learning purposes within the scope of the service purchased. Unauthorized reproduction, resale, bulk downloading, distribution, use in commercial education and uploading to third-party artificial intelligence systems are prohibited. The purchase does not create any transfer of intellectual property or financial rights; it grants only a personal-use permission for the period and scope stated in the package.
4. Schoolobe’s privacy commitment
Schoolobe uses user data only to the extent limited to the relevant education, membership, payment, support and legal obligation processes, relying on lawful processing conditions. It applies duty-based access restrictions, confidentiality obligations and technical and administrative measures appropriate to the nature of the data processed.
Student data and lesson recordings are not sold; they are not made available for advertising material, social media content or the independent commercial purposes of third parties. This agreement does not grant Schoolobe an unlimited right to use the student’s image, voice or work.
5. Live lesson recordings and education analysis
In live lessons for which a lawful processing condition is met, Schoolobe records image, audio and in-lesson interaction. Recordings are processed for the purposes of assessing the student’s educational development, reviewing the quality of the education and preparing pedagogical feedback. Participants are informed before recording begins. The detailed analysis method, scope of data and retention period are set out in the KVKK Privacy Notice.
Separate explicit consent based on free will is obtained for audio and video recording for pedagogical purposes and for analysis on the recording. Accepting the agreement, attending the lesson or turning on the camera does not by itself replace this consent. For minor students, the authority of representation and an information and decision process appropriate to the student’s age and capacity to discern are observed.
Content review of recordings for educational purposes is carried out only by education staff authorized by reason of their duties. Access to recordings is not given to other students, parents, advertisers or unrelated persons. To a parent, after their identity and authority of representation are verified, student-specific development information that does not reveal the data of other students may be communicated.
If mandatory technical hosting or support operations for the recordings are performed by external service providers, these persons, the data types and the purposes of transfer are stated separately in the KVKK Privacy Notice. A technical service provider’s storing or processing the data in an accessible form is also treated as data processing and, where necessary, as a transfer. Service providers are not granted any authority for independent content use, advertising, model training or analysis for their own purposes. Mandatory and proportionate disclosures to legally authorized authorities are reserved.
6. Account security and incident notification
The user protects the access tools belonging to them; in the event of a suspicious login, unauthorized sharing or an account takeover, they notify destek@schoolobe.com without delay. In the event of a concrete security risk, Schoolobe may restrict the relevant access to the necessary extent and duration and may request appropriate verification.
No automatic liability is placed on the user for all security incidents unconnected with their own fault. Schoolobe’s statutory obligations relating to its own systems and to personal data security continue.
7. Cookies and communication preferences
Cookies and similar technologies necessary for the platform to operate are used only within the limits of their purposes. Analytics, advertising or tracking technologies that require consent are not activated without separate information and a choice being provided. The name, provider, purpose and duration of the cookies used are explained at COOKIE POLICY LINK.
Service notifications relating to orders, payment, lesson schedule and security are assessed separately from marketing messages. The permissions required for marketing are obtained separately; membership or purchase does not by itself count as consent to commercial messages.
8. Retention and deletion
Data and records are retained for the periods stated in the KVKK Privacy Notice and to the extent necessary for the purpose of processing. When the legal reason requiring retention ceases, they are deleted, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with legislation. Information that must be retained because of a dispute is separated out, limited to the relevant event rather than the whole education archive, and its access is restricted.
9. Consequences of breach
Depending on the nature of the breach, Schoolobe may issue a warning, request removal of an unlawful share, temporarily suspend risky access or, in serious or repeated breaches, terminate the agreement for just cause. Measures are applied in proportion to the specific case and the seriousness of the breach.
Schoolobe may resort to legal remedies for damages arising from unlawful conduct in respect of which fault, damage and causal link can be proved. The whole package fee is not seized merely on an allegation of breach; the financial settlement on the end of the service is carried out in accordance with the Distance Sales Agreement and mandatory legislation.
10. Term and entry into force
The confidentiality obligation continues after the membership or service ends, to the extent that the confidential nature of the information continues. This provision does not permit indefinite retention of personal data. Updates are announced to the user; they do not retroactively change, to the consumer’s detriment, the terms of an existing purchase. If data is to be processed for a new purpose, the necessary notification and lawful processing condition are provided separately.
This agreement enters into force on the date of electronic acceptance. Privacy or data protection applications may be submitted through support@schoolobe.com. The rights of the consumer and of the data subject arising from mandatory legislation are reserved.
